Alex Mavradis (ALEX-MAVRADIS-PHOTOGRAPHY) > The Mimi, is a training vessel based out of Tarpon Springs Florida. It follows migrating whales from Florida to Maine. The row boat of the Mimi was actually photographed in Boston this past spring. In other years I have seen it in Rockport Massachusetts and in 2000 it was involved in the Gloucester Harbor-Cape Ann schooner race. The information it gets of the migrating whale pods is downloaded into a computer on board ship then relayed to an internet site children and students of ocean environs can study.
