United States Coast Guard Barque-the Eagle. Won as booty from the Germans at the end of World War II It has become a training ship for the Coast Guard Cadets. The helm I personally think shows one of the symbols of this country, our steadfastness towards adversity both in wars and civil conflict and the struggle our ancestors inherited on their journey to our country by sea and the ability of the colonies and later the federal republic defending our shores from external enemies and for a time, ememies from within.. This photograph was printed by a professional lab in Cambridge, on both white print paper and ciberchrome paper that gives the photograph a richer and more contrasty look. The origional is on Kodak 64 ISO transparency that was then converted to a 4x5 large format negative. The print comes from the 4x5 negative.
